Welcome to Würzburg! Since 1 September 2026, THWS has been running the Welcome Centre at Marktplatz 3 together with the City of Würzburg and the University of Würzburg. Here, we provide advice and support to international students, prospective students and applicants right in the heart of Würzburg – on Tuesdays from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm for students and on Fridays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm for applicants. Our existing support services on site, by email and by phone are still available to you.

THWS advice and support in the heart of Würzburg.

The Welcome Centre is another central point of contact for THWS. Here, we offer our existing support and advice on applications, choosing a degree programme and support for international students in a central location at the Marktplatz.

The Welcome Centre brings together information for international students and applicants, making it easy to access.

Guidance and connecting you with the right people.

The team supports you as you take your first steps, answers questions about settling in and living in the region, and puts you in touch with the right contacts when needed.

Meeting and networking.

The Welcome Centre is a meeting place for international talent, universities, employers, public authorities and other institutions.

A strong network.

Numerous municipal departments are involved. University Hospital Würzburg and the Würzburg Employment Agency are involved as associated partners, along with the Chamber of Skilled Crafts for Lower Franconia and the Würzburg-Schweinfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Together, they support international talent from studying and entering the workforce through to living and working in the region in the long term.

The Welcome Centre Würzburg is a joint point of contact run by the City of Würzburg, THWS and the University of Würzburg.
