European Higher Education Alliance develops joint concepts in Würzburg

In a three-day workshop organized by the UNINOVIS alliance at THWS, around 20 experts from across Europe developed joint concepts for lifelong learning. The focus was on innovative microcredentials, a European UNINOVIS diploma, and accompanying support for learners

“The workshop in Würzburg showed how important close and personal exchange within the alliance is,” emphasizes Carolin Gläser, scientific advisor for the transnational UNINOVIS study programs at THWS and head of the UNINOVIS work package “Lifelong Learning.” “With the concepts we have developed, we are laying the foundation for flexible, internationally connectable and innovative learning paths that will open up new avenues for the European higher education landscape and economy in the future. Microcredentials are key to making education more flexible, more practical and more target group-oriented. We have also taken an important step forward in the area of joint degree programs.”
