The German Jordanian University (GJU)  is a state-funded Jordanian university modelled after German universities of applied sciences and was established in 2005. A fruitful partnership between the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research paved the way.

GJU offers over 35 bachelor's and master's programmes across its 10 faculties, including management, logistics, engineering, pharmaceutical and biomedical engineering, environment, and energy. On its modern, energy-independent campus in Madaba, south of Amman, and a downtown campus in Amman, approximately five thousand students from Jordan and adjacent countries study and conduct research.

A significant milestone is the new THWS location on the GJU campus in Amman. This allows students from the Arabic-speaking region to obtain German, THWS-specific degrees in Social Work and Hydrogen Technology through CampusGATE: Jordan, without having to relocate to Germany in the first two years of study. Moreover, it serves as an exciting starting point and hub for your academic exchange and scientific cooperation projects.
