Saunas, Lakes, and the Northern Lights

Nestled between two enormous lakes, Tampere—known as the “Sauna Capital of the World”—offers a first-class nature experience right on campus. Here, the cityscape shifts from magical, bright summer nights by the water to cozy cafés and sparkling winter wonderlands, where, with a little luck, the northern lights may even light up the sky.

Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK)

TAMK is the second-largest university of applied sciences in Finland. Universities of applied sciences offer a practice- and career-oriented approach to higher education and research. Their teaching and research focus in particular on well-being and health, business and industrial production, and learning and creativity. The university offers degree programs in nine academic departments and also has a wide range of English-language degree programs.
