International students in the robotics program

Module information

Here you can find all information on the individual modules of the International Certificate at THWS.

Please note that ALL courses in the summer semester 2024 will be offered as online webinars. Thus you will need a PC with microphone and headset.

The link for your webinar can be found on this website for every module (regional trainings and advanced regional trainings).

The Campus for Language Proficiency offers job-related English courses on three different levels which can all be accredited for the Intercultural Certificate. The courses take place on one or two days per week. These are complemented by weekly self-study phases, assignments and e-learning material.

If a participant Basic Intercultural Certificate or Intercultural Certificate+ can proof in a placement test that they have already obtained level B2, they can take courses in another foreign language.

Module 2: Intercultural Competence

The International Office (HSIN) is offering intercultural seminars. These include introductory seminars and regional trainings.

The introductory seminars cover the theoretical foundations of social and intercultural competence. Culture Manager Aylin Chaban is offering these every semester.

The regional trainings are advanced practice-oriented seminars in which the knowledge from the introductory seminars is deepened. They are offered each semester on different dates for different regions:

  • India
  • Arab cultures
  • West Africa (Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana)
  • China
  • Japan
  • Taiwan
  • Latin America
  • Turkey
  • Eastern Europe
  • Malaysia
  • Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan)

Please note that not every regional training is offered every semester.

The Erasmus Staff Exchange is to encourage employees to visit a partner university for a period of at least 5 days where they apply their newly developed theoretical knowledge into practice. The experiences gained by this prepare THWS to continuously take on the challenges accompanying internationalisation with success.

Your stay abroad can be financially subsidised as part of the already established international staff mobility. The application and the procedure are subject to current regulations of the THWS International Office (HSIN) For further information, please visit the websites on staff mobility.

You would like to participate in the Intercultural Certificate+ but cannot go abroad?

Should you not be able to participate in the Erasmus Staff Exchange, you can alternatively participate in an English advanced regional training.

Every semester, one to two English webinars are offered on relevant topics by THWS-partners, in which you can apply the knowledge gained in the regional seminars.
