The bachelor's degree programme Logistics (B.Eng.) is offered as a TWIN programme. In the course of the programme, you choose modules from the German- or English-taught programme in order to obtain a TWIN certificate.

The seven-semester bachelor's degree programme Logistics combines sound theoretical knowledge and practice-oriented skills. The foundation phase (1st to 3rd semester) focuses on technical, mathematical, and economic basics. In the main studies (4th to 7th semester), you will deepen this knowledge. You will also develop knowledge in areas like supply chain management, automation, and sustainable logistics. The modules are offered as lectures, practical courses, and practice projects. A mandatory 20-week internship semester scheduled for the 6th semester complements the degree programme. The TWIN programme and international exchange opportunities offer specific advantages.
Programme structure
1: Foundation phase (1st to 3rd semester)
In the foundation phase of the bachelor's degree programme Logistics, you lay the foundation of your future expert knowledge. You will develop technical, mathematical, and economic basic knowledge and skills in areas like computer science, German private economic law (Wirtschaftsprivatrecht), and process design of material and information flows. The programme is complemented by modules that promote social skills and good academic work.
2: Main studies (4th to 7th semester)
The main studies focus on specialisations. You deal in depth with topics like supply chain management, automation technologies, and sustainable logistics. Elective modules allow you to choose your specialisations and follow your individual interests. Our projects and interdisciplinary assignments connect theory and practice to optimally prepare you for the demands of the logistics industry.
3: Internship semester (6th semester)
The internship semester scheduled for the 6th semester is an integral part of your studies. During the 20-week internship phase in a company of your choice you can apply your knowledge and gain valuable insights in real-world logistics processes. At the same time, you expand your individual competences and make first contacts for your future career.
4: Final semester (7th semester)
In the final phase of the programme, you work on a practice-oriented logistics issue for your bachelor's thesis. For this, you apply the methods and skills developed during your studies to create innovative solutions. The bachelor's thesis is accompanied by a presentation, in which you present your results and prove your analytical skills.
Specialisations
In the bachelor's degree programme Logistics you can choose from a wide range of specialisations to already shape your career path while studying. In subjects like Supply Chain Management, Sustainable Logistics, Automation, and Robotics you will learn how to efficiently shape and optimise complex processes. These specialisations optimally prepare you for the challenges of the global logistics industry.

Practice-orientation
Studies at THWS are characterised by a high degree of practice-orientation and the internship semester. Depending on the chosen degree programme, the internship semester is scheduled for the 5th or 6th semester. The internship semester offers you the chance to complete an internship with a company of your choice and gain insights into the professional world. That way you can apply the theoretical and practical knowledge developed during your studies in the work environment you are most interested in.

Admission requirements
Requirement for admission to the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt is a valid general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification (fachgebundene Hochschulreife), an advanced technical college certificate (Fachhochschulreife), a general/subject-specific entrance qualification for qualified professionals, or a comparable qualification from abroad (HZB, university entrance qualification).
