Delegation Visit by Finnish Partner University and Signing of a Memorandum of Strategic Co-Operation

After delegation visits had for a long time not been possible due to the pandemic, this week, that time has finally come again: On May 3rd and 4th, four representatives from Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK), lead by their President, Tapio Kujala, visited FHWS. Even though both universities have recently collaborated in the context of a joint EU application, the partnership between FHWS and TAMK is still relatively new. This was the first visit of a delegation from TAMK at our university.
During the two days, our guests visited several buildings and laboratories of FHWS in Würzburg and Schweinfurt as well as Röntgen Memorial Site. Furthermore, an exchange with the university administration and the international office in order to identify and develop possibilities for co-operation took place. In the end, a joint Memorandum of Strategic Co-Operation was signed by the two Presidents. Likely in August, representatives from FHWS will visit TAMK in order to concretise the discussed ideas and talk about the further development of the collaboration.
